DMU's music-technology provision currently consists of a BA in Music Technology, a BSc in Music Production, a Masters (MA or MSc) by Research, and a Phd.

The undergraduate programmes provide a practice‑centred, project‑based curriculum, organised in four "strands" that run across all three levels. A high level of flexibility within modules enables content and project emphasis to be adapted to student interests, cohort needs and industry developments. In their final research project, students capstone their learning with a self-designed investigation, potentially bridging to postgraduate study. DMU now teaches in block form: students take one module at a time, taught in high intensity over six weeks.
